The Northumberland Area
We are situated close to Ponteland (within half a mile) it is a large village / small town with plenty of shops for everyday living, as well as pubs and restaurants. Although the farm is situated on the edge of glorious countryside, it is not isolated.
Our cottages are located within a short drive of Belsay Hall, Castle & gardens (English Heritage) & Wallington Hall (National Trust). Both Newcastle upon Tyne and the Metro Centre are within half an hour’s drive for shopaholics and within three quarters of an hour’s drive there is Alnwick Castle and gardens, Warkworth and Dunstinburgh Castles, as well as lovely, clean, uncrowded sandy beaches.
Going south into County Durham, Beamish Open Air Museum is within driving distance and both the Lake District & Edinburgh are within a 2 hour drive.
